During an observational study, the same type of rabbit is raised in different zones. Zone A has a radius of 20 miles and has approximately 24,000 rabbits after one year. Zone B

has a radius of 36 miles and has approximately 75,000 rabbits after one year. Determine and state which zone has the greater population density of rabbits at the end of the year.

    To find the density, we need to divide the number of rabbits by the area. To find the area of each circle, you have to multiply pi (3.14) by the radius squared.

    Here are the densities:

    Zone A:

    24000 / 1256 = 19 rabbits per square mile

    75000 / 4069 = 18.4 rabbits per square mile
