Which term of the arithmetic sequence 1, 6, 11, 16, ... 1,6,11,16, ... is 136?

    The nth term = the first term + (n-1) d, d is the difference between two adjacent terms, in this case, d=5

    136=1+5 (n-1)

    136=5n-4

    5n=140

    n=28

    so the 28th term is 136
