How do you solve 2x-2y+5=0 for x and then also for y

    Solving for 'y'

    2x - 2y + 5 = 0

    Add 2y on both sides

    2x + 5 = 2y

    Divide by 2 on both sides

    y = x + 5/2

    y = x + 2.5

    Solving for 'x'

    2x - 2y + 5 = 0

    Subtract 2x on both sides.

    -2y + 5 = - 2x

    Divide 2x on both sides

    x = y - 5/2

    x = y - 2.5

    If you are trying to graph it, then you need to simplify it to simplest linear slope form: y = mx + b

    As of now, you have 2x - 2y + 5 = 0

    Isolate the y to one side of the equation, - 2y = - 2x - 5

    Divide the entire equation by - 2, to completely isolate the y,

    y = x + 5/2

    Basically, y = x + 5/2 and x = y - 5/2
