Half of the students in Megan's class have a dog. one-third of the students with a dog also have a cat. What fraction of students have a cat and dog?

Since half have a dog and 1/3 have a cat. So you do 3 times 2 because they are denominators. You would get 6 so you would turn the denominators to 6, so the fractions would be 3/6 and 2/6 and then you add them which is 5/6 so 5/6 is your answer.
