Maggie earns money from working at the pet store and answering phones. She earns $10 each hour she works at the pet store and $0.25 for each phone call she answers. Maggie answered 60 phone calls and earned $115 last week. What would this look like as an equation

    We first begin this equation with 115=10x+0.25 (60) because she answered 60 phone calls and we multiply them for each one she answers which give us:

    115=10x+15 now we subtract our 15 from both sides. which gives us:

    100=10x now we divide to give us our final answer:

    x=10 hours.
