You asked amusement park visitors the question "How many times did you ride the Ferris wheel today?" as they left the park.

Four people said they rode a Ferris wheel 5 times. Explain how this would be shown on a dot plot.

    The number line of the dot plot would show the number of times riding a Ferris wheel. Four dots would be placed above the "5" to show the 4 people.

    Draw an xy axis. On the x axis, put "number of times person rode the Ferris wheel" or something along those lines. For the y axis, put "frequency". For x = 5, you'll have four dots stacked on top of each other at this x value. I suggest having a slight gap between each dot so you can tell them apart. The four dots represent the four people who said they rode the Ferris wheel five times
