Emma, Brandy, and Damien will cut a rope that is 29.8 feet long into 3 jump ropes. Each of the 3 jump ropes will be the same length. Write a division sentence using compatable numbers to estimate the length of each rope.

    In order to have the 29.8 feet long rope be equally divided among Emma, Brandy, and Damien, they need to divide the rope by 3. Mathematically this would be expressed as,

    n = 29.8 feet / 3
