    25%=0.25

    0.25*$14=$3.50

    $14-$3.5=10.50

    0.25*$25=$6.25

    $25-$6.25=$18.75

    0.25*$40=$10

    $40-$10=$30

    add them up:

    $10.50+$18.75+$30.00=

    $59.25
