    the roots of a quadratic equation are

    f (x) = (x-r1) (x-r2) where r1 and r2 are the roots

    if the roots aka x interctps are - 2 and 1/3

    f (x) = (x - (-2)) (x-1/3)

    f (x) = (x+2) (x-1/3)

    f (x) = x^2+5/3x-2/3 is the equation
