Find the slope and the y intercept of the line 5x + 9y = 38

    Put it in slope intercept format (y=mx+b)

    9y = - 5x+38

    isolate y by dividing everything by 9

    y = - 5/9x+38/9

    slope is the number before x (-5/9)

    y-int is b (38/9)
