Katy wants to reduce 180/315, but shes wants to do it in one step. Which of the following is the greatest common factor that she should use to reduce this fractions?

A: 5

B: 45

C:9

D:30

    B. 45

    It's 45 because both (180 and 315) can be evenly divided into that number and its the largest. The other answers reduce the fraction, however, it's not in the simplest form and has to be reduced again.
