    -5 (m-3) + 2 (3m+1) = 15-8

Multiply the numbers outside of the parenthesis with the numbers inside the parenthesis

    (-5m+15) + (6m+2) = 15-8

    Add 6m to - 5m and add 2 to 15

    m+17=15-8

    Subtract 8 from 15

    m+17=7

    Subtract 17 from 7

    Final Answer: m = - 10
