A polygon is a many sided shape. a regular polygon is one where all the sides and angels are the same for example square, equilateral triangle pentagon and etc
a parallelogram is a shape with the opposite lines for parallel

A polygon is any flat closed shape made of straight line segments.
A parallelogram is a polygon with 4 sides in which sides that don't
touch each other are parallel.
