    The x-intercept happens when the graph crosses the x-axis or when y=0

    substituting y=0 in 12x-4y=48

    12x=48--->x=4 so the x-intercept is (4,0)

    the y-intercept happens when the graph crosses the y-axis or when x=0 in 12x-4y=48

    -4y=48--->y=-12 so the y-intercept is (0,-12)

    To find the x and y intercepts, you have to divide the 48 by whatever the constant is with the letter.

    so this is how it should look like:

    12x=48

    Then divide both sides by 12 so you will get x=4.

    4y=48

    Then divide both side by 4 and you will get y=12.

    Answers: x=4 and y=12
