Find the next three terms in the patter 9, 4, - 1, - 6, - 11 ... then describe the pattern

    You can notice that each time you subtract 5

    9-5=4

    4-5=-1

    -1-5=-6

    -6-5=-11

    following the same pattern, the next term would be:

    -11-5 = - 16

    this is a linearily decreasing pattern (decreases with constant linear rate)
