Let x represent the # of choc. cookies baked and y the # of vanilla cookies.

The amount of oven time required for the choc. cookies is 8x; that for the van. cookies is 10y.

The total oven time is 8 hours, or 8 (60) minutes, or 480 minutes.

Thus, 8x + 6y (less than or equal to) 480 (minutes).
