Many ratios can be found relating to parts of the human body. For example, an adult's height is 8 times the height of his/her head. It is said that if you measure a child's height at the age of two and double the measurement, the resulting number will be close to the child's height as an adult. Suppose a child has a height of 36 inches at age two. What is an approximate height of his head as an adult?

Well if the child is 3 inches tall, it will approximately be 72 inches when it's an adult.

Since the height of an adult is 8 times the height of the head, we divide 72 by 8 to get 9 inches
