To find the surface are youd have to multiply 6 1/2 by 6, because a cube has 6 total sides. so the answer would be 6•6.5 which equals 39

The formula of the surface area of the cube is 6s^2. "S" stands for side length, and you square it to get the area of one side of the cube. Multiply that by 6 (6 identical faces on a cube) to get the answer. So 6 x (6.5 x 6.5) equals 253.5 or 253 1/2. Don’t forget units if the problem has included them.
