    Given equation: 4x-7y=10

x-intercept can be obtained by putting y=0 (i. e. the x-axis) and solving for x.

    4x-7 (0) = 10 = > x=2.5, so x-intercept is (2.5,0).

Similarly, y-intercept is obtained by setting x=0 (i. e. the y-axis) and solving for y.

    4 (0) - 7y) = 10 = > y=-10/7, so y-intercept is (0,-10/7)
