If the slopeangle is 60° over a 10" length, what is the change in elevation?

    Classic trigonometry:

    theta is 60

    adjacent side is 10

    find opposite side

    soh cah toa

    sin cos tan

    use tangent

    tan = O/A

    so tan (60) = O/10

    multiply by 10 each side

    10tan (60) = O

    Opposite = 17.32"

    thats your change in elevation
