Melanie and Melissa are sharing the cost of a pizza party. Melanie is buying 2 pizzas for $14.00 each and 3 orders of garlic bread for $4.00 each. Melissa is paying $21.00 for napkins, paper plates, and sodas. She is bringing the dessert which costs $8.00 to make. How much more money is Melanie spending than Melissa?

    Melanie:14+14+4+4+4=40

    Melissa:21+8=29

    40-29=11

    So the answer is $11
