How many 4-digit pin numbers can be made that contain a letter first, followed by 3-digits?

    There are 26 letters in the alphabet, so 1st digit can be 1 of 26

    there are 10 numbers from 0-9, so the 2nd, 3rd and 4th digits can be 1 of 10 each

    total combinations = 26 * 10 * 10 * 10 = 26,000
