In your math class there are 17 boys and 21 girls. 10 of the boys and 15 of the girls are freshmen. if you randomly choose a student in your class, what is the probability that you'll choose a girl or a freshman? tell whether these events are overlapping or non-overlapping.

    21 girls, 25 freshmen, 6 non freshmen girls, 17 boys, 38 people total.

    25/38 + the 6 non freshman girls

    31/38 chance of picking a girl of a freshmen.

    I think the events are overlapping because a freshman can be a boy as well as a girl.
