    Area of current rug is

    A = l x w

    A = 12.5 x 10

    A = 125

    Reduce the original by 1/5

    So, you will take the original and multiply by 1/5 or (20%)

    125 x 1/5 = 25 reduction

    So, new is 125 - 25 = 100
