A composite number is a number that has at least 2 (if you count 1) whole number factor (if you count 1 as a factor)

whole numbers are numbers like 1,2,3,4 but not including - 2,-4,-5

factors are numbers that make up another number so

    the factors of 6 are 1,2,3 because 1 times 2 times 3=6

3 is not composite because the factors are 1,3
