John brought 18 pizzas. Micheal bought 12 pizzas. What percent of the total number of pizzas, did Micheal buy?

    John bought 18, Michael bought 12 ... for a total of (18 + 12) = 30 pizzas

    so Michael bought : 12/30 = 0.4 = 40% of the total number of pizzas
