Maggie has a job working in an office for 10$ an hour & another job driving a tractor for 12$ an hour. one week she works in the office twice as long as she drives the tractor. Her total income for that week is 416$. how many hours did she spend at each job

    Let t = the number of hrs spent driving the tractor

    Then the number of hrs spent in the office = 2t

    We can write the following equation for the total amount earned:

    10 * (2t) + 12t = 416

    Solve for t:

    32t = 416

    t = 13

    So she spent 13 hrs driving the tractor, 26 hrs in the office
