Apartment A has a security deposit of $1000 and cost $1200 each month. Apartment B has a $1500 security deposit and cost $1175 each month. How many months will it take for the costs to be the same?

    1000 + 1200m = 1500 + 1175m

    1200m - 1175m = 1500 - 1000

    25m = 500

    m = 500/25

    m = 20 < = = they are the same at 20 months ... they will both be 25,000
