Debbie's city took a survey about a plan for a new park. The city surveyed 600 people. 60% of the people surveyed liked the plan for the park. How many people liked the plan?

    All we have to do to find out how many people like the plan is multiplication.

    We multiply the total number of people by 60% - in decimal form.

    600 · 0.6 = 360

    360 people liked the plan.
