    J-5=3 (s-5)

    j-5=3s-15

    j=3s-10 ...

    j+14=s+14+34

    j+14=s+48

    j=s+34 and from earlier j=3s-10 and since j=j

    3s-10=s+34

    2s=44

    s=22 and since j=s+34

    j=56

    So Shawn is 22 and Jerry is 56
