    This is the concept of application of trigonometry; the distance of the boat from the liberty statute will be:

    tan theta=[opposite]/[adjacent]

    thus;

    let

    the distance be b;

    thus;

    opposite=93 m

    adjacent = b

    theta=26.3

    hence;

    tan 26.3=93/b

    solving for b we get;

    b=93/tan 26.3

    b=188.171 m
