    1 hr = 60 minutes, so 7 hrs = (7 * 60) = 420 minutes

    doc sees 1 patient every 45 minutes ... so in 420 minutes (7 hrs), he sees

    420/45 = 9.3 ... rounds to 9 patients <==

    or u can set it up as a proportion ...

    1/45 = x / 420 ... 1 patient to 45 min = x patients to 420 min

    cross multiply

    45x = 420

    x = 420/45

    x = 9.3 ... thats 9 patients per day <==
