Eggs are to be packed in cartons, each holding 12 eggs. if there are 128 eggs and as many cartons are filled as possible, how many eggs are left over?

    Every carton will be packed a maximum of 12 eggs

    this means that only 10 cartons will be packed.

    this will give us a maximum of 120 eggs.

    there will be 8 eggs that will be left

    i. e 128-120=8eggs
