translated 3 units down means the x stays the same and you subtract 3 from the Y

    so (2,3) becomes (2,0)

    (-4,-5) = (-4,-8)

    and (-2,4) = (-2,1)

    so new coordinates are C. (2,0), (-4,-8), (-2,1)
