The perimeter of a kite is 51 meters. If one side measures 18 meters find the measure of the opposite side.

    Let n and m be the sides of the kite

    perimeter = 2 (m+n)

    51 = 2 (18+m)

    51/2 = 18 + m

    25.5 - 18 = m

    m = 7.5m
