An archer fires two arrows into a raised target, as represented in the diagram below. About how much greater of an angle did the archer need to use in order for the second arrow to land 7 feet higher than the first arrow?

Arrow 2: 35 feet

Arrow 1: 30 feet

the base is 7 feet

    7^2=35^2 + 30^2 - (2 (35 (30 (cosx)))

    49 = 1225+900 - (2100cosx)

    49 = 2125 - (2100cosx)

    49 - 2125 = - 2100cosx

    -2076/-2100 = cos^-1x

    cos^-1 (0.9885714) = 8.67
