What does the symbol for factorial function (n!) mean?

    N! = n * (n-1) * (n-2) * ... right down to 1

    For example 5! = 5*4*3*2*1

    it means to multiply all the numbers below n together

    example 5! would be 5*4*3*2*1 = 120
