The width of one campsite is 30.5 yards.

The campsite area has a 1220 square yards and a width of 5 yards.

If we divide 1220 by 5, we see that the total length of the campgrounds must be 244 yards.

Now, divide 244 by 8 and you will get that each campground is 30.5 yards wide.

(Unless, you forgot to include the distance of the campground with the given width, that would change our answer)
