    Fraction of navy beans = 1 - 2/5 = 3/5. So there are 2/5 * 550 = 220 white bean and 3/5 * 550 = 330 navy beans

    ratio of white beans to navy beans is 220 : 330 = 2 : 3

    Answer is 2:3.

    2/5 of 550 = 220

that means 3/5 are navy beans.

    550-220 = 330

    white beans:navy beans

    220:330

    divide by 10=

    22:33

    divide by 11=

    2:3
