I would say that they equally brought the same quantity. 3/4 is 3 out of 4, 2/3 is 2 out of 3. I just see that they both made equal effort.

Elaine brought more salad to the picnic.

To figure this question out, you have to make the fractions have common denominators. The LCM (Least Common Multiple) of 3 and 4 (the denominators of the fractions) is 12.

    3/4 = 9/12 (Elaine) (Numerator times 3, Denominator times 3)

    2/3 = 8/12 (Jake) (Numerator times 4, Denominator times 4)
