Rosita wishes to make a long distances telephone call. The charges are $.75 for the first three minutes and 14 cents for each additional minute. If Rosita has $2.15, how many minutes can he last?

    First to make it easyer start with 2.00 and put 15 cents aside now subtract. 75 to get 1.25 take 1.25 subtract. 75 to get 50 cents take an extra. 14 off to get. 36 you are now up to 4 minutes. now take the 15 cents you put aside and add it to 36 cents to get to 51 cents the answer is 4 minutes with 51 cents extra
