Aiden weighs 39 pounds less than his older brother, Jacob. Jacob weighs more than 100 pounds. what could be the weight of the Two brothers?

    If A=Aiden’s weight and J=Jacob’s weight, so A=J-39 or J=A+39.

    J>100 so A+39>100, and A>61 pounds.

    A+J>>61+100, A+J>>161. Or, A+J=2J-39=2A+39>161.

    If A=62, J=101, so A+J=163 pounds.

    Therefore we can say their combined weights will 161 pounds, and 163 pounds would be a typical weight.
