John has a roll containing 24 2/3 feet of wrapping paper. He wants to divide it into 11 pieces. First, though, he must cut off 5/6 foot because it was torn. How long will each piece be?

    Sort by subtracting the 5/6 from 24 2/3

    so you get 91/6 or 15.16667

    Now take 91/6 and divid by 11 so inverse and multiply

    91/6 times 1/11 = 91/66 or 1.3787 feet
