1/4 gallon = 2/3Bin From the problem. So multiply both sides by three to get rid of the 3 in the 2/3 Bin. (3/4=2Bin) Then divide by two to cancel out the 2Bin so there's your answer 3/8Gallons in a Bin. 3/8=Bin I'm essentially dividing 1/4 by 2/3
