    The zero product property states that if xy=0 then assume that x and y=0

    so

    factor into a form that is like taht

    make one side 0

    minus 7x both sides

    x²-7x+12=0

    what 2 numbers multiply to get 12 and add to get - 7?

    -3 and - 4

    (x-3) (x-4) = 0

    set equal to 0

    x-3=0

    x=3

    x-3=0

    x=4

    x=3 or x=4
