Length of 1st piece = x

length of 2nd piece = 2x

length of 2rd piece = 55x

then,

x + 2x + 55x = 32

56x = 32

x = 32/56

measure of 1st piece = x = 32 / 56 = 0.571 inches.

measure of 2nd piece = 2x = 1.142 inches and the measure of 3rd piece 31.42 inches.
