There are five children who each want puppies. The puppy breeders had 22 puppies. The children have agreed to share the puppies equally. What is the largest number of puppies each child could get? what impact did the remainder have on this answer?

    22/5 = 4 with a remainder of 2. Each child will get 4 puppies. 2 puppies will have to be shared among the five children.
