The length of a rectangular table is 3 feet longer than its width, x. There area of the table is 50 square feet. What equation can be used to find the width of the table?

    (3+x) (x) = 50

    Expand.

    3x+x^2 = 50

    Bring 50 to the other side.

    3x+x^2-50=0
