If we know that u varies inversely as x and y = 8 when x=15, what is y when x=10? What is the constant of variation?

    The appropriate math model would be y = k/x.

    Unsure of why you are using " u " here.

    If y = 8 when x = 15, then 8 = k/15, and k = 120. This is the const. of var.

    Then y = 120/x. If x = 10, y = 120/10 = 12.
