Jillian is making curtains for her room. She has fabric for each curtain that is 1.6 meters in length. She folds the bottom of the fabric up to make each curtain 8 centimeters shorter. How long is each curtain after Jullian has shortened them?

    The curtains will be 152 cm or 1.52 m.

    There are 100 cm in a meter. Therefore, 1.6 meters is equal to 160 cm. If we subtract 8 from 160, we have 152 cm. We can also write it as 1.52 m.
